One of the steps of creating a Dot Health profile is verifying your identity on our platform. We walk you through this by asking you to upload a photo of a government-issued photo ID that is not expired.

If you have started the sign up process for Dot Health on a desktop computer that doesn't have a camera attached to it, you may feel a bit stuck! Not to worry - there are a number of workarounds available to you:

  1. If you have an Android or iOS device, you can download the Dot Health app on your device and continue the sign up and verification process there.
  2. If you do not have access to a smartphone with a camera, you can ask to borrow a friend or family member's computer with an associated camera. Make sure you log out of your Dot Health profile once you have completed this step! You will only have to do this once, so you won't need a camera to continue using Dot Health.
  3. If none of those options work for you, please email us at support@dothealth.ca and we will arrange for an alternative way of verifying your identity. We might ask to schedule a video call or similar.
