Yes, we do facilitate requests exceeding the previous two years!

If you are interested in requesting records older than two years then the process is slightly different. Generally speaking, the cost institutions charge when requesting records that are older than two years will be more. However, we know how important these records can be to you. As such, Dot Health offers the option for our users to cover the additional fees so you can still get access to your records. Upon receiving payment for the remainder amount, we will proceed with the request process.

If you'd like to request records exceeding two years, the process looks like this:

  1. Contact our support team and let us know which provider you'd like to receive older records from, and the window of time you'd like access to.

  2. Regardless of if you've already made your request in-app, our team will follow up with an email including both the original invoice and a link to our secure online payment page. We use Stripe to process payments.

  3. Once receiving payment, we will take it from there! Please note, sometimes older records are stored off-site and these will tend to take a little longer to process, anywhere from 60-90 days.

Please feel free to reach out to our support team at care@dothealth.ca if you have any further questions!
