As a global community, we are currently facing a pandemic together. The team at Dot Health is always looking for ways in which we are able to help and support our community, especially in this scary time. As a result, we have taken several steps in order to help with the fight against the virus. Some of these steps include:

  • Introduction of our COVID-19 Symptom Tracker: Dot Health has released an SMS tool to help everyone track their symptoms! Using text messages, you are able to anonymously send in your symptoms, their severity and your postal code as a way to track your health. This information will be used to build a hyperlocal heat map based on user reported information. The goal of this tool is to inform people about the risk of coronavirus in their area and demonstrate the importance of social distancing.
  • Transitioning our Team to Work Remote: As an effort to try and help flatten the curve, Dot Health has gone completely remote! The team has been doing this since the start of March and will continue to do so for as long as necessary. This action helps us practice social distancing as a way to inhibit the potential for spread in the community.
  • Lengthening the Timeline for our Record Retrieval Process: During this time, we understand that many healthcare institutions have become increasingly busy due to the spread of COVID-19. Some institutions are dealing with an increased number of patients, which is sometimes compounded with fewer staff. Considering the increased stress that frontline healthcare workers are currently dealing with, the team at Dot Health has extended our record retrieval timelines in an effort to help mitigate that pressure.

Dot Health will continue to take steps to ensure that we are doing our very best to help fight the spread of this virus. We are always interested in hearing your feedback and would love to answer any questions that you may have! If you would like to talk, please reach us at care@dothealth.ca!
